U-16 Girls County Semi Final in the Banks- Monday evening at 6.15pm
Naomh Muire v Milford - remember the excitement two years ago when the girls U-14s won their county title beating a big strong Mac Cumhaills side in Termon???.....well here they are again two years later and with many more games under them playing a strong Milford side but with home advantage. Girls and Ladies football has been a great lift to the Club and on Monday night the U-16s need all the support they can get to make another County final. Encouragement and support is so important and the community are brilliant in this regard. Monday night- 6.15pm

Rúnai fó-chumann Naomh Muire, Declan Martin, will take ticket requests from the Club members and community by text and email only up to the closing time of midnight tomorrow night Sunday Sept 9th on 087 901 6072 or [email protected]
Request deadline midnight Sunday 9th Sept If you are a club member or a member of the community, there is a fair and honest point system in place which rewards club committments first . However, the system asks for all requests to be honest and if you are going to the match don't apply for two three and more tickets so that you can take others thereby denying genuine others who may wish to go. Please allow the point system to decide. Unlike other matches such as the Ulster final, All -Ireland Semi etc which are big family days out ...The All -ireland Final is a unique sporting event up with the very highlights in World sport and because of that tickets will be spread out. Therefore ticket requests should be honest and genuine making a difficult job easier for the club members tasked with the distribution. Also remember that a request is only that and the Club have agreed that the point system in place will be the deciding factor. Request deadline midnight Sunday 9th Sept Naomh Muire 1-14 v Bundoran 1-9. This crucial division 2 league match saw the lads perform at the very top of their game in the Banks this evening. Although they missed an early penalty, Naomh Muire were the physically stronger team in what was a hard hitting battle at times. They led by 4 points at Half time and extended this to 7 points before the experienced visitors netted and narrowed it to 3 points. This was an impressive team performance with every single player of 20 used giving it all they had. Bundoran came attempting to drive into promotion territory but met a tougher, hungrier and faster side on the night. Earlier the reserves showed similar traits in an impressive second half performance coming back from a 5 point deficit to win well. There were some strong performances as well as a team effort and a return to Naomh Muire football for Declan Boyle (Yank) after an absence of 8 years. All in all a great evening of Senior football in the Banks.....Well done to all involved. Go raibh maith agat do Bhríd Nic Suibhne. Frankie and Finbar Fun Run and Walk - Friday evening September 21st at 7pm in the Banks. Registration from 6.30pm. All proceeds for Benefit/Charity. Following the run and walk framed photographs of both great club members will be unveiled in the Clubhouse. The friends, family, neighbours and community of both are invited. |
