The under 10s beat Ballyboden St Enda's and Ballyboden Wanderers to win back the James Maria Cup which was last won in 1995. Two great games of football and remember Ballyboden St Enda's are one of Ireland's biggest clubs with an amazing 82 teams!!! The under 12s beat Lucan Sarsfields and Ballyboden Wanderers to win the Jim Kearns Cup for the first time. Quality passing was the fea...ture of both games by the young Naomh Muire team. Overall a great day in Ballyboden and with two cups we left the Dublin mountains and headed for a great night in Croke park. Although Donegal lost (Baile Átha Cliath 3-16 Dún na nGall 0-13 ) we enjoyed the hurling match and the Dublin v Donegal game. We should be very proud of the 46 boys and girls who travelled and who represented their club and community with pride and great manners. All will remember days like this probably for ever which makes days like this worth it all. Watching them put the hard work of the winter training into practise against strong Dublin clubs was great to watch and they will all have taken something good from today. Thanks to all the coaches who travelled and to Sean O Baoill in Ballyboden for arranging the hosting of the blitz All the photos from the trip are available in the Gallery. Click here to go directly there. The following is the under 12 training timetable for the coming weeks. Their 1st game will be in Dudlin on the 24th March when they take on Ballyboden and Kilmacud. Their league starts then in mid-April.
Training from Monday 21st March. Day Time Monday 7.00pm - 8.30pm Wednesday 7.00pm - 8.30pm Saturday 11.00am - 12.00pm The under 12 boys began training outdoors today at the training pitch in the banks. They will continue training at the following times over the coming weeks. All players born in 2000 and 2001 welcome.
DAY WHERE TIME Tuesday - Training in the sportshall at the RCS - 7pm - 8pm Saturday - Training at the banks - 11.30am - 1.00pm There have been some changes to the fixtures for the under 12 and under 16 boys. At under 12 level this year we have entered two teams, one team at division 1 and one team at division 2. This shows the great effort that has been put into under 8s and under 10s over the last 4 years and we hope this continues. The under 16 league fixtures have changed slightly with the first 3 games now all away from home and the last 4 games in the league at home in the banks. A tough start for this team on their travels. Fixtures can be viewed on the Bord na nOg section of the website.
